Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of Experience Buddies (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who operates the service

The service is operated by Experience Buddies SRL, a company registered in Romania with the Cluj Trade Register, sole registration code (CUI) 54255526, EUID ROONRC.J2026017117001, with its registered office at Bulevardul 21 Decembrie 1989 no. 21, 1st floor, ap. 5, Cluj-Napoca, Cluj County, Romania ("we", "us" or "our"). 2. The service

Experience Buddies is a social platform that helps people create and join real-life experiences - such as trips, meals, concerts, sports, cultural outings and adventures - and connect with other participants. Our role is limited to bringing people together online. We introduce members to each other; we do not organize, supervise or take part in the experiences themselves.

Any meeting that follows happens in real life, between the members involved, at their own judgment and on their own responsibility. You decide who to meet, where and when, and you are responsible for your own safety and conduct.

3. Your account

To use the service you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You agree to:

• provide accurate, current information when you register and keep it up to date;
• keep only one account per person;
• keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with anyone;
• take responsibility for everything that happens under your account, unless it results from our fault.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used to harm other members or the service.

4. How you may behave

Experience Buddies only works if members treat each other with respect. When you use the service, you agree not to:

• harass, threaten, bully or intimidate other members. Nobody can message you until you accept their join request - this accept-before-chat rule exists precisely to prevent unwanted contact;
• impersonate another person, or misrepresent who you are or your connection to anyone;
• post illegal, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent or otherwise offensive content in your profile, your experiences, your photos or your messages;
• use the service for commercial promotion, advertising or spam;
• scrape, harvest or collect data about members or experiences by automated means, or try to access parts of the service you are not authorized to use.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, texts and other content you upload ("your content"). To run the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce and display your content inside the service, for the sole purpose of operating and providing it to you and to the other members you share it with. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for a limited time for legal reasons or that other members have already lawfully saved.

You confirm that you own or have the necessary rights to everything you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break the law. We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we are legally required to remove.

6. Experiences and meetings

Members who create experiences must describe them truthfully - the place, the date, the plan and any relevant details. We do not verify experiences and we are not a party to any meeting, booking, arrangement or payment between members. Any agreement you make with another member is between the two of you.

Please use common sense when meeting people you met online: meet in public places, keep the first meetings public, tell a friend or family member where you are going and who you are meeting, and stop if something feels wrong. You are responsible for your own decisions and safety.

7. Availability of the service

The service is currently in an early (MVP) stage and is provided "as is" and "as available". We may add, change, limit or remove features, and we may interrupt the service for maintenance or for other reasons. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available.

8. Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care, but our liability is limited to what mandatory law allows. In particular, we are not liable for the behavior of members before, during or after real-life meetings, or for content created by members. We are not responsible for decisions you make about who to meet or what to do.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law - including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for the mandatory rights of consumers.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time. You can delete your account whenever you want from your Account settings; deletion removes your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, giving you notice where the law requires it. If we close your account for a breach that you can fix, we will, where reasonable, let you know what the problem is first.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will announce them in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the service after the changes take effect, that counts as accepting the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection given to you by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you keep all statutory consumer rights.
